Segment 2 (In-Person)
Segment 2 is a three-day course, with 2 hours of classroom instruction each day, totaling 6 hours.
To enroll in Segment 2, you must have held your Level 1 learner's license (permit) for at least three months and have completed 30 hours of driving (including 2 hours at night). Students are required to present a driving log and their learner's license to the instructor.

Professional Driving Evaluation
1.5‑Hour Driving Evaluation
Michigan Driving Schools offers a 90‑minute private driving evaluation designed to provide a thorough assessment of a student's current driving abilities. This service is intended for individuals who want a professional evaluation of their skills, those seeking documentation to lower insurance rates, and aging adults who may need an objective review of their driving for personal or family peace of mind.
During the session, students will:
Drive in a dual‑controlled, insured vehicle with a certified Michigan Driver Education Instructor.
Perform a variety of on‑the‑road maneuvers, including residential, city, and highway driving.
Receive real‑time coaching and feedback throughout the lesson.
Be evaluated on safety awareness, vehicle control, traffic law compliance, and decision‑making skills.
At the conclusion of the evaluation:
• The instructor will provide a detailed written assessment of the student's performance.
• The evaluation will be uploaded to the student portal, where it can be viewed and printed.
• This assessment is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a skills test or road exam. Michigan Driving Schools does not provide road exams.Requirements:
• Students under 18 must present a valid Level 1 or Level 2 license.
• Students 18 and older must present a valid TIP permit or driver's license.
• Documentation must be shown at the start of each lesson. Failure to present proper documentation will result in a no‑show and forfeited lesson.

Private Parking Lessons
This one-hour lesson, conducted by a state-certified licensed instructor, will prepare students for Michigan's basic control skills portion of the road exam, which consists of a series of off-road exercises. These exercises include necessary maneuvers such as curved path backing (parallel parking) and forward stop line. Students will learn and engage in these maneuvers to ensure they're ready for the road exam.
