A family-run driving school built to make a difference

Michigan Driving Schools was founded with a simple purpose: to create a better, safer, more supportive driver education experience. When it was time for our oldest daughter to begin driver training, we realized the programs available didn’t meet the standards we expected. We believed students deserved engaging instruction, patient and skilled teachers, and a school that truly works together as a team. That belief became the foundation of our mission.

A hands‑on, family‑run approach

We remain directly involved in every part of the school’s daily operations. I personally handle all phone calls, emails, and texts, guide parents through the licensing process, teach in the classroom, train instructors, and ensure our curriculum stays current with Michigan laws, technology, and best practices. Our vehicles are equipped with advanced safety features, and every time we add a new car to our fleet, my husband drives it first to learn the systems and functions. This allows him to train instructors thoroughly and give students the most accurate, up‑to‑date behind‑the‑wheel instruction. He is one of the most respected and requested instructors in our surrounding communities.

Michigan Driving Schools is more than a driver education company; we are partners in a family’s journey toward safe driving. Many parents did not go through Michigan’s Graduated Driver Licensing program themselves, so we take the time to explain each step and help them support their teens with confidence. From the beginning, our mission has been to treat every student as if they were our own child. We build relationships, create a welcoming environment, and work as a unified team so every student receives the highest quality education and support.
